Mayor

He was born in Mesudiye, one of the villages of Datça in 1949. He got his primary education in Datça, high school in İzmir and was graduated from The Department of Economics of İstanbul University in 1970.

He worked as an inspector in a rising positions from an assistant in the beginning to the inspector general for the Turkish Radio Television Agency (TRT).

He promoted to Assistant Director General of TRT in 1997 and worked 4 years in this job. Then he retired when he was working for the Research, Planning & Coordination Office of TRT. His first step in his political carrier begins with application to be a parliamentary candidate in his native city Muğla in 2002. Then he was denoted as a member of Radio Television Supreme Board by a national party namely CHP in 2005. At the same year he was elected to Muğla City Board Membership. He was assigned several jobs in a rising ranks for the party.

He has been managing the Municipality of Datça as a Mayor since April 2009.

He is married and has one child.
